I'll preface this by offering the disclaimer that you don't know me. Not merely in a metaphysical "No one can ever really know anyone" sense, but in the more general, everyday use of the phrase. That said, I did go to Lake Oswego High School, and I know of you. More to-the-point, though, I've been following your blog since inception, and I thought I would finally offer a comment:
I find your insights into suburban life are refreshing, and as a traveler-in-limbo myself, I sympathize. And while you may lament about the impression you leave upon the proverbial sands of time, I can only say that I think you may be selling yourself short. I cannot speak to your abilities as a teacher, but as a writer I can say that your thoughts have left a lasting impression upon my mind, and by impacting people such as myself (who, with any luck, will someday do the same), there is a kind of immortality achieved in this. Anyway, I look forward to your forthcoming posts.
