So let it officially be known that cusco and its environs are actually nothing less than a well-disguised black hole, some sort of cosmic maelstrom. It’s impossible to leave. And if you do leave, you only get so far before you find yourself getting sucked inexorably back into its embrace. I just had to go back to machupicchu and spend some more time there.
